tasks failing to stop
I'm hoping for some clues on how to debug a problem I've recently started having. Since I upgraded to 2.3.1 (from 2.2.3) and centos8 from centos7, I've run into situation where deleting a job via the web interface appears to delete the job, however the process is still running on the afrender client...

Re: afrender.service on NFS mount
Heya Timur, As you pointed out, everything is normal. What I didn't know ahead of this process (that I know now) is that service unit files for systemd MUST live on a local file system due to some internal caching/dependency build mechanism. Basically, if I host the unit files on a remote drives, th...

Re: afrender.service on NFS mount
For posterity, I was able to hack around this by relocating the service file to a local drive, and repointing the symlink to it... but it's kinda bleh.
A more elegant solution would be awesome.

afrender.service on NFS mount
Heya, Previously running 2.2.3 I was able to deploy afanasy via a centrally installed NFS mount symlinked to /opt/cgru. Since version 2.3.1 has shifted to systemd, it seems that i'm unable to run the same scam, since the unit file must reside on a filesystem available at PID1. AFAIK, this is not a d...

Heya,
Has anyone tested afanasy server and/or client on centos8?

vrscene generation and submit mismatch
Heya everyone, Attempting to use meVrayRender ver 0.3.9 on linux to submit a deferred vrscene generation block followed by a vray block. The submission works great, and 2 blocks are created as expected. However, the vrscene files themselves are named after the base maya file, while the vray job expe...

Re: Task has not started
Thanks Timur. Sadly, it appears that all the suggested parameters are set as expected. Other jobs submitted from the same DCC are running -- but one will not. Must be a ghost in the machine -- or I pushed some bullshit code to the floor ;) Thanks for following up. I'll post if I ever get to the bott...

Task has not started
I'm hoping that i'm missing something obvious so please don't hesitate to point and laugh at me. :D I submitted a job which simply sits there saying: ERROR: Task is not started. The hostmask seems legit, the capacity seems fine, the service is available on the targeted nodes, but for some reason it'...

services claiming two types of tokens?
Is it possible for a service to claim two tokens from the farm?
for example, an hscript job that writes .psproxy files will require both a houdini engine license, and a redshift license.
Thoughts?
