Hi, I'm having some problems setting up CGRU and was wondering if anyone had some advice. I set up my IP and software, then ran the afserver, afwatch, afrender and afstarter files. I can add my fusion comp and see the job in the monitor, but nothing renders, even when I click start.
I also can't see any of my nodes on the network.
Any help is much appreciated
CGRU with Fusion, Render not starting
Re: CGRU with Fusion, Render not starting
Hi.
You should have some render nodes to render.
And solve this problem first.
What OS? CGRU version?
What you did step-by-step?
How have you launched afserver, afrender and afwatch?

Re: CGRU with Fusion, Render not starting
Thanks for the reply!
Here's what I'm working with:
My studio has 10 systems (Windows 10) that we'd also like to have as render nodes for Fusion 9, Blender, and others when unused. All connected to two qnap servers through a 20gb switch.
Here is what I did step by step:
- Download and extract CGRU 2.3.0 to C:\
- Open Keeper, set up software (fusion in this case)
- Set server in keeper (enter IP for my specific machine)
- Create config.json file with
- Launch afwatch
- Launch render (tried on my workstation and another system)
- Launch afstarter
- Locate my fusion comp, add it to the render
I see the comp appear in the afwatch window, and I see my workstation in the render tab, but nothing renders, even when I click Start.
I do not see the other node when I open afrender on it. I made sure to set the software and the IP on it.

Re: CGRU with Fusion, Render not starting
Can you should screenshots of afwatch Jobs, Renders and Users tabs and paste task "Log" here?
