Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately running afserver as root makes no difference.
Do you know any mac developer i can contact to inspect the issue further?

afWatch crashes afServer on MacOS
Hi, i have correctly compiled CGRU on MacOS 11.6.2 (20G314) Big Sur. i've set afServer and afRender on the same machine using its ip address in config.json. afServer and afRender seems to work quite fine. but whenever afWatch is launced and running, it seems to generate a very large memory footprint...
