Re: PDG scheduler file ownership

Hi! I think that user switching is a very "in-house depended" issue. It should be implemented by admins/TDs/RNDs in place. Also user, that service is running by, should have enough permissions for it. Just may be Afanasy "out-of-the-box" submission plugins should have some ways for command customizi...

Re: ui-software version-software plugin

Hi!
There is no "out-of-the-box" solutions for choosing software versions in CGRU.

But of course almost everybody doing it knowing shell and python scripting, environment variables setup and a system administration globally.

Re: win 10 setup

Hi!
CGRU do not need any installation. And even any setup to run on a single host.
Just unpack an archive and launch what you want.

Here you can find a couple of a video examples in youtube:

Re: ACES

Hi!
I just want to say that moviemaker is a python script that uses https://imagemagick.org/ for frame annotations and https://www.ffmpeg.org/ to encode movies. May be this tools should be configured somehow.

Re: Run substeps on the farm

Hi!
For Afanasy frame is a task and can be only integer (several frames in one task). As there can't be 100.25 tasks in the job.
If you want to save geometry in a sub-frames, you can use retime nodes (timeshift, timewarp).

Re: we want all jobs backup in database not is json data

Hi!
I forgot to say, if you need to keep jobs for some statistics, there is a SQL database for it.
It stores just some useful jobs data, and you can't restore jobs from it.

(just now some others asked me the same questions, and i asked what they need to store jobs for)

Re: installation on Linux Mint 20

Hi!

Linux Mint 20 base on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

./install_depends_devel.sh is from the Manual Project Build documentation section:
https://cgru.readthedocs.io/en/latest/i ... ject-build
You need to install it to build the project from sources.

Re: fork: retry: No child processes

Hi!
In there 2 lines:
https://github.com/CGRU/cgru/blob/maste ... hon.sh#L14

Code: Select all

      which python3 >& /dev/null
      [ "$?" = "0" ] && export CGRU_PYTHONEXE="python3"
Change python3 on python2, or install Python 3.

Feedback here about results, please.

Re: farm.json

Hi!

For nuke you should add a pool ticket NUKE with 999 count and 5 max hosts.
(999 - is a total limit - you can set any big number you will never reach with 5 hosts).

For redshift you can create a special pool. And add there a single redshift service.
