Errors when running multiple parallel tasks on renderer with after effects
Hi, I succeeded to configure afanasy to execute multiple tasks in parallel on a single renderer (using 'capacity' configurations). The renderer executes after effects and runs on windows. For the experiment I set "maxtasks":2 (and I see 2 tasks are starting in parallel on the same renderer...

Re: Can't set af_servername without GUI
Ok, we resolved our issue. The problem was the way we run it in windows: It runs as a windows service. When the service runs under Admin user it takes the config defined by the GUI. We changed the service to run as a System user and only then it takes the config from the files as defined in document...

Parallel tasks execution on a single render machine
Hi Timur, We currently realized that running multiple after effects renders on the same machine is the most cost effective way to run distributed rendering. We proved it my making multiple tests (without afanasy). Is it possible to configure afanasy such that each render will execute multiple tasks ...

Sorry, I still dont understand what should I do to make it work properly.

Can't set af_servername without GUI
Our renders machines (agents) setup automatically and run as a windows services. Thus we need to set 'af_servername' using a script (without GUI). For that purpose we use C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\cgru\config.json. In this file our script sets af_servername = "10.163.2.222" In...

Re: Agents start working with delay
You were right!!!!
The bottleneck is network or shared folder we use.
I have tested the same case with all input and output resources locally (render machines use only local resources) and it works much faster.
It also starts immediately.
Thank you very much.

Re: Agents start working with delay
1. I send a job. Double click it in an AfWatch to see all its tasks:
Tasks are in "RUN" state, but progress starts to grow with delay (sometimes more than 30 seconds)
2. AfWatch "Renders" - I see all 50 renders are connected
