Hi, is there any possibility you can upload and link to the modified addon your colleague changed or perhaps privately send me the addon for testing purposes? we are working on using cgru in our farm to render 2.8 files and i could not get the addon to properly load on version 2.8 (as i have only limited experience with python coding and got stuck on some issues..)

hi. here is the current version we have. it still causes some error messages and works only on one of our machines ... colleague who rewrote it is on his vacation right now, so I cant tell whats wrong. Maybe you will have more luck and find solution. Cheers.

It is much more comfortable to track code changes there.

Hi

On some scenes we have this kind of error. It seems that the problem is in cgru addon for blender.

I can't find the regularity of this error for now.
It seems to me that there is some problem with collections in this addon.

This seems to be the same or a similar problem that I already reported some time ago here viewtopic.php?p=4562#p4562
The trick is to put a renderable object (not an empty e.g. but rather a cube with all faces deleted in edit mode) in the root of the scene collection.

Well, maybe it is a solution, but it is very difficult on large scenes.
It needs more complex fix.
